We've got some exciting news to share from the vibrant heart of Lake County. VMAX For One Community recently rocked the Lake Square Mall with the Third Annual Artisans at the Square event, which went down on September 23-24, 2023. It was a two-day spectacle that had everyone buzzing.
Day 1 - September 23: A Grand Kickoff with VMAX For One
The opening act was none other than the delightful Lil Miss Kylie Griffin, setting the stage on fire with her youthful charm. It was like a burst of sunshine on a crisp morning.
Then came the gymnastic prowess displayed on Main Street. These young athletes flipped and twisted, leaving everyone in awe of their strength and agility.
But that's not all, folks. The day continued with Josh Blake, one of VMAX's very own coaches, demonstrating the fine art of foam cutting. Precision and creativity merged as foam transformed into incredible shapes right before our eyes.
And what's an event without some groovy moves? Dancing For The King took the stage, showing off their killer dance moves that would make even the coolest cats jealous.
But wait, there's more! The ethereal Catherine Wright graced us with her melodious voice, serenading the crowd with tunes that touched the soul.
The fashionistas among us were in for a treat as VMAX Models strutted their stuff alongside the talented Fashion Designer, Ashton McCorvey. It was a runway showdown like no other.
And to top it all off, DJ Indlemind brought the beats and vibes to keep the energy soaring throughout the night. The crowd danced, laughed, and celebrated into the starry night.
Day 2 - September 24: Arts, Sports, and More
Day 2 rolled in like a fresh breeze, and DJ Indlemind was back, ready to set the tone for another thrilling day.
The United Boxing Club demonstrated some serious boxing techniques. It was all about discipline, strength, and determination. These young pugilists showed us what it means to be fighters, both in and out of the ring.
Lake County Capoeira added a dash of Brazilian flair to the mix. Their acrobatic martial art moves left us mesmerized, and we couldn't help but cheer them on.
And for all you car enthusiasts out there, the Youth Custom Auto Designer, Addison Dragon, presented custom cars that were nothing short of rolling pieces of art.
Now, here's the cherry on top: not only did the VMAX kids have a blast at these events, but even the alumni joined in on the fun. It was a reunion of creativity and talent that warmed our hearts.
So, there you have it, folks - the Third Annual Artisans at the Square was a roaring success. It showcased the incredible talents of Lake County's youth, proving once again that creativity knows no bounds.
